Who is Savage Sisters?

Savage Sisters Recovery is a non-profit organization based in the neighborhood of Kensington in Philadelphia that works to aid individuals struggling with substance use through harm reduction, outreach, and educational training, provides housing and  resources to those in recovery, and advocates on behalf of those impacted by the drug crisis.

This social media plan aims to highlight Savage Sisters’ mission & raise awareness by refining the organization’s online presence & facilitating user engagement across platforms.

One of Savage Sisters’ top priorities as an organization is to advocate for those experiencing addiction and raise awareness about the drug crisis in Philadelphia. Because this issue has become particularly controversial, especially concerning the presence of safe injection sites, it is important for Savage Sisters to convey the gravity of the current situation in Kensington by presenting facts and statistics clearly and concisely. It is also vital that Savage Sisters appeal to emotion in their messaging in order to help destigmatize addiction and to reach users who have been impacted, firsthand and secondhand, by substance use. Making this content accessible and easily shareable will allow Savage Sisters’ mission to reach a larger audience, encouraging more widespread awareness of these issues.

Audiences

The primary target of this campaign is the Wealthy Do-Gooder - an individual interested in philanthropic efforts with the means to make sizable donations to organizations they connect with.

The secondary target of this campaign is the Local Business  Owner - a local entrepreneur who is dedicated to uplifting their community and is looking to align their business with causes that are important to them and the community.
